New in 2024: Working with GWU and UNEP
Chatmine is working with George Washington University and UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) CTCN ( Climate Technology Centre and Network) on Developing National Digitalization Readiness Index for the countries of the developing south. Project will be completed in May 2024.
The National Digitalization Readiness Index (NDRI) is an innovative metric designed to evaluate a country’s preparedness for transitioning into a digital economy and society. This comprehensive tool aims to assist governments, policymakers, businesses, and stakeholders in identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within their national digital landscapes. The development of the NDRI involves a systematic, data-driven approach to ensure accuracy and applicability across different national contexts.

Project Overview
The NDRI project is spearheaded by Gopal’s team in collaboration with the George Washington University (GWU) team. The project focuses on creating a robust framework that measures various dimensions of digital readiness, including infrastructure, digital literacy, social inclusion, and government policy. This multidimensional assessment will facilitate targeted interventions and strategic planning by policymakers and business leaders.
